There are a range of nomination streams for skilled migrants seeking to live and work in South Australia. Read through each of the streams before applying for state nomination to see if you are eligible.
SBM will be conducting monthly onshore invitation rounds. Candidates must submit an ROI at least one month before their visa expires.
This does not mean that a visa expiry is a determining factor in selecting and inviting an ROI, however this provides SBM sufficient notice to candidates with impending visa expiries on their ROI.
In cases where candidates cannot submit a ROI at least one month in advance before their current visa expires (for example, due to not finalising their skills assessment or not meeting eligibility requirements sooner), they may contact SBM advising of their situation. At SBM’s discretion, their ROI may be considered.
1. South Australian Graduates
If you are an international graduate, who has studied in South Australia, you may be eligible for state nomination as a skilled migrant faster than other candidates. Read more about the South Australian Graduates stream.
2. Skilled Employment in South Australia
If you are a skilled migrant, currently living in South Australia and working in your nominated occupation, you may be eligible for state nomination through this pathway. Candidates may include temporary visa holders, international graduates, self-employed applicants, and sub-contractors. Read more about the Skilled Employment in South Australia stream.
3. Outer Regional Skilled Employment
If you are a skilled migrant currently living in an outer regional area of South Australia and working in your nominated occupation, you may be eligible for state nomination through this pathway. 4. Offshore
If you are a skilled migrant currently living offshore, who has submitted an Expression of Interest using the Commonwealth Government’s SkillSelect system, you may be selected by South Australia and invited to apply for state nomination. Read more about the Offshore stream.
