According to the Vacancy Report, released by The National Department of Employment, vacancies in South Australia increased in August. Compared to a year ago, vacancies were 8.0% higher.
The Vacancy Report contains the Internet Vacancy Index (IVI) which is based on a count of online vacancies newly lodged on SEEK, CareerOne and Australian JobSearch.
Other highlights in the report:
Vacancies have now risen for 11 consecutive months.
Over the month, vacancies rose in all of the eight occupational groups and in all states and the Northern Territory, while vacancies declined in the Australian Capital Territory.
