Inviting cricket enthusiasts to join our ‘Friendship Cup’ team

Immigration SA is participating in the South Australian Cricket Association’s Friendship Cup 2017 and we are looking for volunteers to join our team!

The Friendship Cup involves competing teams from various multi-cultural groups and government organisations for a day of cricket and fun.  See here for a summary of last year’s event won by India, with this year’s event to have more teams, including Immigration SA.

Location: Park 25, Port Road (across from the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide)

Date: Monday 13th March, 2017 (Adelaide Cup Public Holiday)

Time: 8.30 for 9.00 am match start.  Finishes at approximately 1.30 pm.

If you were nominated for your visa by South Australia and are a keen cricketer, we would like to give you the opportunity to join our team, which will also include some Immigration SA staff.

**Registrations to join the 2017 team have now closed**

We will select players from various countries that have made the journey to South Australia.

This event is entirely voluntary and there will be no costs associated to participate. Participants will each be provided with a custom team shirt and hat to wear, but will be required to supply their own white pants.

If you are interested in attending the event as a spectator, there will be entertainment including a cricket clinic for children aged 5-15, a range of cultural activities, performances and food available for purchase on the day.
