Employment Linkages Services (ELS) Program for New Migrants
The Employment Linkages Services (ELS) is a comprehensive program designed to assist new migrants to make the transition into employment which is aligned to their background training, work experience and demonstrated work skills.
The program comprises:
Information Sessions
Information sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month where a number of speakers explain the services that are available to assist new migrants along the pathways to securing employment. These information sessions also address the key issues and responsibilities for visa holders, particularly what is entailed in making the transition from provisional to permanency.

SA Works – Skills Recognition Services (SRS)
Skills Recognition Services provides employment and skills recognition support to South Australians with overseas gained qualifications, skills and experience.
This service is free and is available to anyone who has full working rights in Australia.
What does SRS offer?
- tailored employment support to assist skilled migrants gain skilled employment
- information and support with employment and employment related issues
- information and resources about the South Australian job market
- pathways to recognition of overseas and locally gained skills and qualifications
- comparative assessments of overseas gained academic qualifications
- access to employers seeking skilled workers for their workforce.
